C H A R A C T E R // D E S I G N S
I've been trying to add some range to my character design portfolio. One thing I learned at Nickelodeon is the importance of being adaptable to a style, so I'm trying to work outside my comfort zone a little bit and develop familiarity in different modes. One thing I like to keep in mind is that when it comes to animation, style is second to solid construction, so as long as I develop a strong sense of construction, my sense of design will have something to hold it down.
With that in mind, the art director in me chewed out the novice character designer and left some notes on how to make the construction better.
